Your Path Towards Clear Skin Starts With Laser Treatment

It can be very rewarding to go from daily blemishes to makeup-free skin. I can get you there. It is important to understand that everyone’s acne is different. Some is hormonal, some is stress related, some is being driven by products that you are putting on your face. Let’s work together to get to the bottom of your acne.

Vbeam Laser Treatment

Downtime: 3-5 Days
Pain Level: Discomfort
Results Duration: Up To 10 Days

About Vbeam

The Vbeam is a pulsed dye laser which delivers short bursts of light energy into the skin and selectively targets unwanted vascular conditions such as spider veins. The target is then either destroyed or shrinks in size and is reabsorbed in the body. The procedure is safe for most skin types and is non-invasive.

Results and Recovery

The laser has a mild to moderate level of discomfort depending on the treatment size and location. Most people describe the feeling similar to a snap of a rubber band with a slight stinging sensation.

During Treatment : Expect to feel a warm sensation with either a slight pain or no pain at all. The Vbeam’s cooling system administers cool air to the treatment area during the procedure, which can help minimize any discomfort from the laser’s heat.

After Treatment : The laser treatment should not leave any scars. Red spots and areas with blood vessels will initially become redder, but this will soon dissipate. Patients can even resume wearing makeup right after treatment.

Immediately after the procedure your skin will be bright red, and will feel like a mild sunburn. You may have mild swelling, and/or have bruising to the treatment area depending on the condition being treated. Most of the redness resolves within 1-2 days. Some more aggressive treatments the bruising lasts two weeks.

Swelling and bruising may be mild to severe for 1-3 days with mild swelling lasting up to 10 days.

The Vbeam pulsed dye laser is equipped with a Dynamic Cooling Device. Before each pulse is delivered this system sends out a burst of cooling cryogen to the area. This helps to manage any discomfort during the procedure. You will be provided with ice packs after the treatment is complete to help cool things down and reduce swelling. We can also apply a numbing cream to your face to assist if you have a high pain tolerance.
Vbeam laser treatment is safe, and can even be used on infants. The Vbeam laser can treat almost every skin problem with no side effects.
Your exact treatment protocol will depend on your specific skin condition and the size of the area to be treated. Vbeam Pulsed Dye Laser treatments can range from 5 minutes for a small angioma to 20 minutes for port wine stains. Typically, it takes anywhere from 15-20 min to treat the full face.
Prices can start at around $350 and increase up to $1500, depending on certain variables.

DEKA CO2 Laser Treatment

Downtime: 14-21 Days
Pain Level: Discomfort/Heat
Results Duration: About 1 Month

DEKA CO2 Laser

DEKA SmartXide Touch is a fractional CO2 laser system that works on an electronically pre-set network of points, without removing the entire skin surface, as with other systems. The light associated with CO2 lasers is able to stimulate skin rejuvenation, only hitting small areas in depth. It also reduces the usual rejuvenation side effects such as pain, scabbing and a lengthy recovery time. DEKA SmartXide Touch can help your skin regain its tone during the treatment, as well as reducing the appearance of wrinkles, small and large acne scars, and dark marks. It is the perfect treatment for long-term effects vs. Fraxel, RF microneedling, and chemical peels.

Results and Recovery

The DEKA CO2 laser improves wrinkles, texture of the skin, skin laxity, acne, traumatic scars, dyschromia (discoloration) and dark spots. This laser has specific settings to improve each skin concern. It is recommended for patients who suffer from wrinkles primarily caused by UV damage. Compared to other lasers the DEKA CO2 works deeply into the skin. As a result, the procedure creates an appearance that is effective and rapid.

FAQs

We apply a topical numbing cream prior to the procedure. The laser feels like a hot rubber band snap and your skin will feel hot for about 30-60 minutes following the procedure. It is recommended to ice at home the first night. A topical gel is also applied afterwards that will help bring down the warmth, swelling or discomfort you are feeling.
Cool compresses or ice packs are helpful for swelling and pain.
You will typically see results within 1 month, but skin will appear tighter, smoother, and with less brown spots within 2 weeks depending on areas treated and the intensity of treatment. It will also stimulate collagen production for up to six months following the treatment.
Yes, all the changes in your skin obtained with DEKA are permanent; however, the effects will gradually diminish with the natural aging process. Specifically, the laser has complete optimal results shown within 3-6 months following the procedure. The treatment lasts for up to 8 years. Therefore, patients would only need one treatment for the next 8 years. Remember that smoking, alcohol, excessive exposure to sun, and poor eating habits all accelerate the aging process.
You will see results with one treatment. Depending on sun damage, age, and severity, some people may need several treatments. You can repeat treatments one month apart and can do as many treatments as desired.
A topical numbing cream is applied first for approximately 60 minutes. The actual laser procedure takes approximately 30 minutes. Anticipate spending approximately two hours at your scheduled appointment.
Healing time will depend on the intensity of the treatment received and the area treated, but generally over seven to thirty days. There are three different settings on this laser and some are more intense. It is normal to experience redness and swelling. Mild settings will experience slight redness across the treatment area and feel as if sunburned for the first 24-hrs. Intense settings can experience redness 14-21 days after the DEKA CO2 laser. You will be able to see the “DOTS” immediately after the treatment, but will slowly dissipate.
Makeup may be worn at day 5, and regular makeup can be worn at day 7. You can resume your normal activity and exercise on day 5. Sun exposure with SPF 30 or higher after day 5 is recommended but must contain mineral ingredients, specifically zinc oxide or titanium dioxide.
