About Botox & Dysport

These are simple, nonsurgical procedures that smooth the noticeable wrinkles on your face using natural, purified proteins to relax underlying muscles.

It is a simple 10 minute treatment that consists of a few tiny injections administered by your doctor. Botox/Dysport is administered at very low doses and does not travel throughout the body, meaning that effects are usually confined to the injection region.

Results and Recovery

It is unlikely that you will develop any significant side effects, but you may notice slight bruising where Botox/Dysport was injected. This is only temporary and can be covered by makeup.

Although results are dramatic, Botox/Dysport will not radically change your facial appearance. Rather, muscles are simply relaxed, allowing you to frown, smile, and look surprised without wrinkles and creases. Dr. Lamb believes in a conservative approach to treatment, using the least amount of Botox/Dysport possible to achieve natural and desirable results.

Most patients compare the sensation to a bug bite. Overall, discomfort is minimal and temporary.
No, but your doctor may choose to numb the injection area with a cold pack or anesthetic cream before actual treatment begins.
You should begin to see a significant improvement within a few days, but full results can take up to 2-3 weeks to take effect.
Most patients go right back to work or continue their activities immediately following the procedure.
The effects last approximately four months, but can last up to 6-9 months in patients that maintain their treatments. Daxxify lasts up to 6 months.
The most common side effects are headache, respiratory infection, flu syndrome, temporary eyelid droop, and nausea.
Botox/Dysport is one of the least expensive facial aesthetic procedures in the country, ranking seventh out of the nine most widely used. Prices can start at around $250 and increase up to $1500, depending on certain variables.
